>Our Great Shopping Trip Saturday!

>For once we had a pleasant shopping experience this weekend! We started out our journey at Lowes. My 13 year old decided he would brave the trip with us so he could pick up some new flowers and plants. The cashier at Lowes was so sweet! She was very kind and extra nice. What a relief!

Next we ventured to CVS. We were greater when we walked in the door with, “well if it isn’t my 2 favorite shoppers!” I’m not quite sure how to take that lol! Both my mom and I did pretty well for a last minute trip. I racked up some more $2/case Cokes as well as O’lay body wash and face cream. All in all I spent $30 and took home nearly $60 in merchandise. Plus, I walked out with $5 in ECBs for next week! Remember, at the CVS on Honeysuckle, you can buy from BOTH sales ads, this week and the upcoming week, on Saturdays! Does anyone know if the other CVS stores do this as well?

Our last stop was Publix, my favorite of course! We were hungry and it was so nice to be greeted at the deli with fresh, hot, samples of muffaleta andouille sausages. Mmmmm. It was nice to have the Kraft Homestyle Mac n Cheese back in stock. I was able to use 10 of the $1.00 off coupons I had for them as well as a few competitor’s coupons making them free! When it came time to check out I went through a line where a sweet little guy was working. I hadn’t seen him before so I thought I would break him in! He saw my stack of coupons and was excited! He said, I’m not scared of coupons, I love watching people save money! To which I responded, you are my new favorite cashier! Thankfully it wasn’t very crowded at 530 pm and I didn’t have a line of people behind me. When a guy came up behind me with his groceries as we were beginning my coupons I warned him, “this may be a while, I’m just letting you know since I was hollered at by the woman behind me last week.” he seemed intrigued, ha ha. When I was done and he heard my totals he yelled out an explative and turned to the guy behind him and said, “she saved $99!” The cashier and I both laughed and the man said, “I can’t even be mad at you with savings like that! That’s amazing!” what a thrilling way to end the trip.

What kind of experiences have all of you had lately?

I believe these rang up for me “buy 2 get 1 free.” it says in their ad to “look for an in store coupon to B2G1 free.
If you get the 3rd free and use 2 coupons it will make the total for 3 packs $8 or $2.67 a pack, or $0.67 a bottle!!!! Yummy!

I hope this helps you all. These are just the “good deals” that I have purchased or seen. This ad runs though Friday close.

Also, please remember when presenting competitor’s coupons to follow the rules stated on the coupon. Target coupons specify 1 coupon per transaction. Please don’t try to take advantage of their policy. I really enjoy shopping there and would hate for people to spoil that for everyone!

Also, see my Publix post regarding the use of competitor coupons appropriately.

Thanks for looking and happy shopping!

Thanks Southern Savers!

>Sales ads, Publix and Winn Dixie reminder

>The sales ads for Publix and Winn Dixie are running through the 24th this week due to the holiday. Be on the lookout Sunday the 26th for a new sale. Most likely it will be a short and not very impressive ad but we will see!

Happy shopping!

>Are you done with your Christmas shopping?

>

The deadline is approaching! Have you finished your shopping? I am out and about today tying up the loose ends. What does everyone use for stocking stuffers? I think I am going to go with gift cards this year. It is so disheartening to fill stockings with junk that ends up in the trash or under your feet. Several small gift cards will help fill them up and be useful. My kids love to spend money that is “theirs” even though it isn’t lol. What other ideas do you have for useful stocking stuffers?

>Update Official Children’s Place Black Friday Sale

>

An OFFICIAL Children’s Place Black Friday Sale update. Stores open at 4 am. As I posted before, everything in the store will be 30% off. Combine this with either the $10 off $40 coupon deal (see my previous post) or bring this coupon with you to save an additional 15% off. You cannot combine the 2 coupons but you can use either one with the in store sale! The $10 coupon deal is 25% off ONLY if you spend $40 ($10 is 25% of $40, if you spend more the savings come out to less). If you plan on spending more than $40 and don’t want to buy multiple $40 gift cards then the 15% would benefit you more.
Not going to the store? You can shop online with 20% off. You can also try using the code FSHOLIDAY at check out for free shipping. I am not sure if this can be combined but it’s worth a shot!
Happy shopping!!!
